StudyHive ("we," "our," or "us") provides a multi-tenant study library management platform and mobile application. This Privacy Policy discloses how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our web application and mobile software ("StudyHive").

2. Information We Collect

• User & Staff Credentials: Name, mobile phone number, role, and branch allocations for account authentication.
• Student Registration Data: Name, phone number, email address, exam preparation details, ID proof document numbers, and emergency contact details stored by library operators.
• Attendance & Seating Records: Real-time desk allocation records, check-in and check-out timestamps, and membership validity dates.

3. Mobile Device Permissions (Google Play Safety)

Our mobile application ("StudyHive") requests the following device permissions solely to provide core library management functions:

• Camera Permission: Required to scan student attendance QR codes at library front desks and capture optional student avatar photos. Camera data is processed locally for scanning and is never recorded or transmitted for advertising.
• Secure Storage Permission: Used by Expo SecureStore to store encrypted JWT authentication tokens for safe session management.

4. Data Security & Storage

All API requests are encrypted using industry-standard TLS 1.3/HTTPS protocols. User passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage in production databases. Data is hosted securely on cloud infrastructure with restricted access controls.

5. Account & Data Deletion Requests

Under Google Play Store policies, users have the right to request the deletion of their account and associated personal data. You can submit an account deletion request directly using our Account Deletion Request Page or by contacting our support team at pspatel602@gmail.com with your registered phone number. Requests are processed within 7 business days.
